The Northern Territory (NT) has two land-based casinos - in Darwin and Alice Springs.
To run a casino you must apply to, and negotiate an agreement with, the NT Government.

During the term of a casino licence, the government can not grant another casino licence without the existing casino operator's consent.

The town of Casino in the Richmond Valley has heritage listed buildings, which you can see on their Heritage Walk. There are also a number of art galleries here, including the Paper Bark, the Platypus and the Roxy.

The museum has artefacts, photos, old newspapers, tools and machinery from the region as it developed into the town it is today. The Aboriginal Bundjalung people first lived in this region, then the first pioneer farmers and ranchers, their stories are told here. Located on Walker St, near Webb Park on the Richmond River.

Casino Miniature Railway & Museum
If you love trains and/or history, a visit to the Casino Miniature Railway & Museum makes for a nice day out. There are scenic train rides with a model locomotive or diesel engines, great for kids of all ages.
